One time when I was five, I wrote a poem called 'Don't Cry, Big Bird' and it consisted of a single sentence: He was too big for regular games. Poignant, I know. It was from that point on I decided I’d try to get paid for being weird. So far it’s working out.
Since being five I’ve done some pretty cool things, some of which happened at work. Like coaxing heavily tattooed gentlemen into the shower to drink whiskey on camera, or getting Australians to out-Christmas each other in the name of competition. It’s all very professional.
As an art/copy hybrid, I go from crafting moodboards to defining colour palettes to whipping pencils into quick submission, all in one breath. When I’m not coming up with ideas or making said ideas, I sell prints online (hint hint), and run Amsterdam Creatives, a meet-up group connecting and inspiring creatives across Amsterdam. I also volunteer for Project Fearless, a local community initiative geared at empowering young girls and am co-founder of Now What?, a freelance collective connecting the best talent in Amsterdam with clients across the world.
